Continuing Education Workshops

We invite you to attend the Journalism School's Continuing Education professional development workshops. Build technical, reporting and digital skills—such as social media knowledge and video editing—to better address new challenges in newsrooms, book publishing and communications industries. Non-credit-bearing, professional development courses are taught by world-class journalists from our permanent and adjunct faculties, and are held on evenings and weekends to accommodate work schedules.

For those who can't attend in person, Continuing Education offers online distance learning (starting with our social media courses) to accommodate students worldwide.

We especially welcome Journalism School alumni, who enjoy a 10 percent enrollment fee discount, as well as alumni of our Continuing Education program and Columbia faculty and staff, who receive a 5 percent reduction.

View course descriptions, schedules, faculty bios and entry requirements, and
register now.
