Trevor Brown

Trevor Brown grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. He received a bachelor’s degree from Oxford University and, after work on The Cape Times, Cape Town’s English-speaking morning newspaper, a master’s and doctorate from Stanford University. He is an emeritus professor at Indiana University, retiring in June 2005 after 33 years as a faculty member in the School of Journalism, the last 20 of them as dean. He consults for journalism programs in the United States and abroad, mainly on accreditation issues.
