Carla Baranauckas is an assistant to the editor at The New York Times and has worked on the continuous news desk since Sept. 11, 2001. She edits and writes stories for the Web site and occasionally does the WQXR radio broadcast and Web podcast of what's on the front page of The Times. Her previous positions at The Times include regional arts editor and deputy copy chief on the national desk. Previously, she worked as a copy editor at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the Grand Forks (ND) Herald, and was a reporter and copy editor at the Edwardsville (IL) Intelligencer and the Texarkana Gazette. Carla received her B.A. at St. Olaf College (MN), and her M.S. at Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism. |
