Peter Landis has been a broadcast journalist in New York City for more than 30 years, working first at WPIX-TV, later at CBS News and WCBS-TV, and since 1996 at NY1 News, where he is Managing Editor.

He is the recipient of four local Emmy Awards for news coverage, as well as a New York State Bar Association Award for WCBS-TV’s coverage of the release of the 1988 State Grand Jury report on the Tawana Brawley Case. He was also honored with a Best Investigation award from the Deadline Club, the New York City chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

Landis is a member of the Board of Governors of The New York Press Club. He is a 1975 graduate of the J School.
