Laura Muha is a freelance writer and editor who has been a member of the adjunct faculty at the journalism school since 1995. She previously spent 10 years as a general-assignment and feature writer for Newsday, and has also worked for The Harrisburg Patriot-News and The Gettysburg (Pa.) Times. Her freelance articles have appeared in The New York Times, BusinessWeek, USA Today, and many other publications. She is a recipient of the American Association for the Advancement of Science award for excellence in science writing. Muha graduated from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in history. She is managing editor of the journalism school’s student-work website.
