Bob Port, is senior editor of investigations at the Albany Times Union in Albany, N.Y., since 2005. He had previously worked as an investigative reporter at the New York Daily News and senior editor at APBnews.com, where his campaign to publish judicial financial disclosures on the Internet won a 1999 IRE special citation. Port was Associated Press (AP) special assignment editor from 1995-1999, leading a team of national reporters in investigative projects. He launched and supervised AP stories on illegal child labor in the U.S. and on the Korean War massacre at No Gun Ri, which won the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting and George Polk Award for international reporting. Before joining AP, Port worked 12 years at the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times. |
