Professor Schatz, has been an adjunct at Columbia since 2002 teaching business and economics journalism. She is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and Tufts University, and she also completed the Knight-Bagehot Fellowship program at Columbia. Since July, 2004, she has served as an editor at Bloomberg News on the arts and culture team. Besides editing critics and columnists, Professor Schatz writes and produces news and features for Bloomberg's weekly TV program on the arts, called MUSE, writes her own reviews and columns, and does weekly radio interviews with authors and other notables for the MUSE weekend program, which airs nationally on Bloomberg radio. She previously worked as a magazine editor at Bloomberg Markets and at Business Week and has a long history as a newspaper reporter at New York Newsday, the Atlanta Constitution and other papers. While at Business Week, she also appeared regularly on-air for a TV program on PBS called "Money Hunt" about entrepreneurship. |
