P>Cynthia Zarin is a staff writer at The New Yorker. She is the author of three books of poetry, including The Watercourse  which won the Los Angeles Times Book Award for Poetry in 2002, and five books for children. Her work has also appeared in Architectural Digest, The New York Times Book Review, The New York Times Magazine, Paris Review and other journals, and has been widely anthologized. She is a contributing editor at Gourmet. Zarin was educated at Harvard and received an M.F.A. from Columbia University's School of the Arts.
