Professor Zucker graduated from Yale (Phi Beta Kappa) before earning a J.D. from the Yale Law School. After clerking for the Second Circuit, U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, he joined Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering, Washington as an associate. Following his experience there, he moved to CBS to serve a law attorney, later moving to ABC.

He has been a visiting lecturer at Yale College; a guest lecturer at the Columbia Journalism School, Brandeis, Fordham Law School, NYU Law School, City College of New York, Georgetown Law School, University of Virginia Law School; and assisted in annual seminars on libel and privacy, Yale Daily News. He is the author of The Journalist’s Privilege (1983, 1994) and co-author of “New Focus on Cameras in Federal Courtrooms,” Communications Lawyer (1990).
