For four years Amy was the Africa Correspondent for The World, a co-production of the BBC World Service, Public Radio International and WGBH Boston. Her stories have also been broadcast on National Public Radio, PBS television, The BBC World Service and Marketplace.

Amy visited Darfur, Sudan to investigate allegations of genocide for the PBS television program, FRONTLINE/World. Her story, Sudan: The Quick and the Terrible was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Feature Story in a News Magazine.

Before moving to Africa, Amy was a producer at National Public Radio for three years. She earned her Master’s Degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
