| Rick Firstman’s 30-year career has included newspapers, magazine, books and television. A former reporter-at-large and editor at Newsday, he has spent much of the past 15 years writing books of narrative nonfiction. Among them are "The Death of Innocents", with Jamie Talan, a New York Times Notable Book of the Year and Edgar Award winner, and, most recently", A Criminal Injustice," the story of the wrongful conviction case of Martin Tankleff. During a 16-year career at Newsday, Firstman won numerous national and local awards for feature writing and investigative reporting. He has written for a variety of magazines and been a contributing producer for 60 Minutes. |
