Scott Dodd is a journalist with experience in newspapers, magazines and digital media. He is currently the online news editor for onearth.org, the Web site of the award-winning environmental magazine OnEarth. His freelance work has appeared in publications such as The New York Times and Scientific American, and he has contributed columns and stories about environmental and urban issues to The Huffington Post, Grist, Streetsblog and more.

Dodd spent a dozen years as a newspaper reporter and editor at the York (Pa.) Daily Record and The Charlotte Observer. Stories that he covered included airline crashes, the Olympic Park bomber, campaign finance corruption and the Super Bowl. As a reporter for Knight Ridder Newspapers during Hurricane Katrina, he contributed to coverage by The Sun Herald staff that won the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for public service.

Dodd has an undergraduate degree in journalism from Penn State University, and he is a 2007 graduate of the Journalism School's M.A. program, where he specialized in science. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and son.
