Experienced journalists and working professionals are your teachers, instructing you in the basics of journalism. Columbia gives its students the rare opportunity to sit at the knee of great writers and journalists and learn how they craft their work. You study with top-notch instructors who will look at your work critically, put it through the wringer, and make it better in the process. You gain experience that that would have taken much longer in the "real world." My time at Columbia helped me to get to advance to the next level of my career quickly and efficiently.
