PAUL CALUORI
Director of Client Content Services, Associated Press

Paul Caluori is director of client content services for Associated Press. He oversees AP’s Digital Cooperative, a program that empowers members’ content for digital outlets as the media landscape undergoes dramatic change. He also directs AP’s content delivery business, AP Telecom, through which members receive syndicated copy and photos from providers like United Media, Creator’s Syndicate and Marketwire. Prior to these responsibilities, Caluori served as director of AP’s AdSEND business, which delivered digitally formatted ads from national advertisers like Macy's and Staples to newspapers throughout the U.S. He has worked at AP for ten years, and held business management, business operations and sales/development positions.

Previously, he worked his way up through South Coast Community Newspapers in Santa Barbara, CA, where he started as a reporter, moved into advertising and eventually became general manager for the group of weeklies. He later launched a subsidiary prepress and print consulting business that served Santa Barbara publishers as they navigated the transformation to digital workflows. He also spent three years as director of production for Creative Media International, a boutique financial PR and digital prep company in Edison, NJ. He has spoken at numerous industry conferences, driving strategic conversations about the changing news audience and strategies to reach that audience in more effective ways.

Caluori has a B.A. in English from Williams College, and lives in New Jersey with his wife and daughter.
