Andrew Morse - 2009 Fellow

ANDREW MORSE, executive producer, Good Morning America Weekend

Andrew Morse is the executive producer of Good Morning America’s weekend edition. Andrew is also heavily involved in ABC News’ digital initiatives. In that capacity he conceived of, negotiated and launched the ABC News-Facebook partnership for the 2008 Presidential elections. Prior to taking his current position in 2007, Andrew was the senior producer for World News Saturday and Sunday.

From 2002-2005 Andrew served as ABC News’ Asia Bureau Chief and producer, managing satellite bureaus throughout the Asia Pacific region and reporting and producing stories in 16 different countries. He coordinated the network’s coverage of the South Asian Tsunami in 2004 and the Bali terror bombings in 2002.

From 1998-2001 Andrew was an assignment editor and producer in ABC News’ London Bureau. During that time, he reported from 22 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He spent many months covering the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and the violence in Israel and the Palestinian territories.

Andrew began his career in ABC News’ Washington Bureau in 1996.

Andrew’s work has been recognized with Emmy, Peabody and National Headliner awards, and he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

He has a B.A. in Government from Cornell University and lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
