The Grantham Prize for Excellence in Reporting on the Environment was established in September 2005 to annually recognize and honor the work of one journalist or team of journalists for exemplary reporting on the environment. The 2010 Grantham Prize is open to U.S. and Canadian journalists for works of non-fiction published , broadcast, or posted as online content between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2009.

The postmark deadline for entries for the 2010 award is January 11, 2010, for books, and February 1, 2010, for all other submissions. The winning journalist or reporting team will be announced in Summer 2010.
