Lewis completed his B.A. and studied as a Nieman Fellow at Harvard. He has reported for Washington Daily News and The New York Times, where he also wrote a regular column.
He has worked as a lecturer at Harvard Law School. He is the author of Gideon's Trumpet (1964), Portrait of a Decade (1964) and Make No Law (1991), and won the
Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting in 1955 and 1963. |
