Acclaimed photojournalist Nina Berman joins faculty

Columbia Journalism School today announced that award-winning photojournalist Nina Berman will join its faculty beginning in fall 2012.

“We’re thrilled to add Nina Berman to our faculty,” said Bill Grueskin, Dean of Academic Affairs. “Her experience and expertise in photojournalism are unparalleled, and she is sure to enhance our program and give our students additional opportunities to hone their photojournalism skills.”

Ms. Berman, an internationally-recognized documentary photographer, educator and author, will serve on the full-time faculty, and will teach classes in photojournalism practice and theory. She comes to the Graduate School of Journalism following a distinguished career in international photography covering topics including wounded veterans, women in crisis and the American political and social landscape.
