The Lede Program: Application
The application period for the 2016 Lede Program has closed.
We will begin accepting applications for next year in early 2017.
The Lede Program does have limited scholarship aid available. Admissions submitted in earlier rounds have priority for aid.
The Lede application process requires the submission of the following supplemental documents:
• Statement of Purpose
• Current resume/CV
• Contact information for two recommenders, who will submit letters on your behalf
The Lede Program has three rounds of applications, with three application deadlines: February 15, March 15 and April 15. Applicants who apply by February 15 will have the most opportunity to be considered for scholarships.
February 15: Round 1 (Priority Admission and International Student Recommended)
Decisions announced by: March 4
Priority Admission students make up the majority of our admissions, and take priority for scholarship consideration.
To allow adequate time for visa processing, we recommend that international students apply by February 15 unless they are already in the United States and will do a transfer of status from another US university.
March 15: Round 2
Decisions announced by: April 1
Round 2 applicants are eligible to be considered for any scholarship aid not previously awarded. We anticipate that most of our funding will be awarded in Round 1, which has a February 15 deadline.
April 15: Round 3 (Last chance until next year!)
Round 3 applications are considered on a rolling basis as they are submitted.
Round 3 applicants are eligible to be considered for any scholarship aid not previously awarded. We anticipate that most of our funding will be awarded in Round 1, which has a February 15 deadline.
