Adjunct Faculty & Director, Radio Program

Kerry Donahue is the director of the radio program and an independent producer who specializes in program and host development with clients including PRX, PRI, and Tricycle Magazine. Her work has been heard on NPR, WNYC, “Marketplace” and WBGO. As Director of the Radio Program, she manages the audio adjunct staff and all audio courses. As Executive Producer of Special Projects at New York Public Radio (WNYC) from 2007 to 2011, she worked on new program development, including a leadership role of the team that launched “The Takeaway” in 2008, a national daily news program produced by WNYC and PRI with The New York Times, the BBC World Service, and WGBH Boston. As a Producer of Original Content at from 1999 – 2007, she pioneered some of the earliest versions of podcasts. As a reporter at WBGO in Newark, she covered Essex County and learned nearly all-possible routes back into Manhattan.

Donahue received her B.A. from Oberlin College and her M.S. from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. Originally from southern Maine, she lives with her husband and two daughters in lower Manhattan.
